The Diva Challenge for this week is to show your country's colors by creating a tile inspired by the country where you live. Well, I live in the good ole' USA, so I used red, white, and blue. I drew Squid and Tipple. Here is what it looks like:
I used Gelly roll pens for the red Tipple in the background, the blue Isochor on the Squid, and the white in the middle of the Squid. I used a black fine point Sharpie to outline the middle of the Squid. The tile is a 3 inch coaster I ordered from Amazon.
As always, comments and criticisms are appreciated.
What a lovely tile and it is unusual to see squid. Glad you said about a coaster from Amazon, I must look that up
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Squid is one of my favorite patterns. Yes, the coasters work great. They are a little thicker so they do really absorb the ink, but the price cannot be beat.
DeleteA beautiful coaster indeed, Lynn. I love the movement of the blue and the Tipple makes for a great background.
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Squid has always been one of my favorite patterns because it is so flowing. By the time I was done, the Tipple was starting to make my eyes cross.
DeleteSquid is always so rewarding, well done.
ReplyDeleteI agree, it has always been one of my favorite patterns. Thank you!!
DeleteCoasters from Amazon. I need to check that out. Tipple and Squid in red, white and blue. Works for me. Nice.
ReplyDeleteYes, the coasters work well. They are a little thick so they really absorb the ink, but they are economical and easy to use. I have been pleased with them so far. Thank you for your comment.
ReplyDeleteWOW! So Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
